The Company’s award winning productions have earned it a reputation for excellence within the international moving image sector. Groundbreaking documentaries include URBAN SOUL (2004), MARIAH CAREY (2003), STAN TRACEY (2003), A DEATH IN THE FAMILY (2000), RIOT(1999) THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF LOUIS ARMSTRONG (1999) and GOLDIE: WHEN SATURN RETURNZ(1998)

The company has also produced two powerful digital short films: THE CALL OF MIST and DIGITOPIA which was premiered at the 2001 Cheonju Festival in South Korea , the Venice International Film Festival, the Tokyo International Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival and another 20 international festivals.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Smoking Dogs Films has three working divisions within the company:the Factual Division, responsible for the development and production of documentaries and commercials; the Features Division, responsible for the development and production of feature films; the Distribution division, responsible for the company’s catalogue and the back catalogue of Black Audio Film Collective.
