Mariah Carey delves into the world of the biggest selling female pop artist of all time who’s biracial roots were discretely covered up by the music industry.
It tells the rags-to- riches story of a teenager from Long Island, New York, with an operatic seven-octave voice, who met the most powerful man in the music industry by chance, and later married him.
The programme features the contributions of an array of musical collaborators including Jay Z and Walter Afanasieff, Mariah’s friends and biographers, and music critics Paul Morley and Caroline Sullivan.
